Product Description

The Goldline 50 is aQuatell's best combination of performance and price.  This Reverse Osmosis system is WQA certified To NSF Standard 58 meaning that it has been tested by an independent laboratory to ensure the removal of many harmful contaminants including Lead, Fluoride, Nitrate, and many others.  This Reverse Osmosis system is rated at 50 gallons per day making it an ideal choice for families.  As with all of our Reverse Osmosis systems, the Goldline 50 comes with everything you need for a quick and easy installation.  The Goldline 50 Reverse Osmosis system also comes with a facuet upgrade to an air gap faucet.

Reverse Osmosis Maintenance

The Reverse Osmosis process involves a series of filtration stages.  In order to maintain both the purity level, and the quantity of water produced, it is important to replace the Reverse Osmosis filtration stages on a regular basis.  The Reverse Osmosis membrane typically lasts from 3 - 5 years.  The membrane should be replaced when you notice a decrease in quantity of water produced from the Reverse Osmosis system.  All Reverse Osmosis systems have pre-filtration stages - these are usually the stages that are mounted vertically under the Reverse Osmosis membrane.  With the Goldline 50 these pre-filtration stages should be changed 3 times per year.  The post carbon filter (mounted horizontally along the R.O. membrane) should be changed once per year.  Failure to change the filter stages can result in decreased performance and a shorter lifespan for the Reverse Osmosis membrane.  Many aQuatell customers purchase some replacement filters when they purchase their system in order to have them on hand, and to cut down on shipping and handling costs.

The Reverse Osmosis Process

The Reverse Osmosis process involves multiple filtration stages to produce water of extremely high purity and quality.  The Goldline 50 is a 5-stage reverse osmosis system meaning that the water passes through 5 purification steps before it is dispensed and the faucet.

Stage 1: Water is passed through a 5-micron sediment filter to remove sand, dirt, and other physical particles

Stage 2: Water is passed through a carbon block filter to remove chlorine and other chemicals

Stage 3: Water is passed through a 2nd carbon block to remove any remaining chlorine

Stage 4: Water is passed through the reverse osmosis membrane where a high percentage of remaining chemicals are removed

Stage 5: Water is passed through a polishing inline carbon filter to further clarify and enhance the drinking water
