Doulton Sterasyl ceramic 10" candle is used in gravity fed filter systems for removing sediment, bacteria, and cysts from a drinking water supply. This candle has a 1/4" diameter X 1 5/8" long threaded mount. The Sterasyl ceramic candle can be washed and re-used many times over.

In addition to fine particulate matter, the Sterasyl ceramic water filter candle will remove bacteria, cysts, an turbidity.

This Doulton ceramic filter candle can be used in many gravity fed filtration systems including: Doulton, British Berkefeld, Big Berkey, NewtonWater, AquaCrock, CWR Travel Filter, Katadyn, AquaRain, Epic, La Natural, and Artesa.

About the Doulton Ceramic Filter Company:

Doulton ceramic water filters have been continually manufactured for over 170 years. The first water filters were manufactured in the early 1800's at Doulton & Co.'s Lambeth location on the Thames River in London, England.
