Pentek C8 is an economically priced 1-micron sediment filter that is impregnated with powdered activated carbon.  It is ideal as a fine sediment filter where some taste/odor & chlorine reduction is desired.  Pentek C8 is recommended for use on chlorinated water supplies only.

More About the Pentek C8 Carbon Impregnated Cellulose Filter

The Pentek C8 is a value-priced sediment filter that is used for fine sediment reduction and for removing small amounts of taste/odor and chlorine from the water.  The pleated design of the C8 offers a high surface area making this cartridge a good choice where high flow rates and low pressure drop are required.  The pleated design also gives the Pentek C8 good dirt holding capabilities.  Due to the cellulose construction of this filter it is only recommended for chlorinated water supplies.
