More About the Pentek PD-10-40 Polydepth Filter Cartridge
The Pentek PD-10-40 Polydepth filter cartridge is a 10-micron sediment cartridge that is used in critical industrial/commercial applications. The PD-10-40 features a rigid core for increased collapse strength and durability. The Pentek PD-10-40 is able to tolerate temperatures up to 175˚F (79.4˚C) making it very useful in hot water applications where most other sediment filter cartridges cannot be used. Micro grooves in the filter provide an increased surface area for higher dirt holding capabilities.
All Pentek Polydepth cartridges, including the PD-10-40 are constructed of thermally bonded polypropylene. Thermally bonded filters are structurally superior to commonly encountered "resin bonded" filters. Thermally bonded filters are less likely to become brittle and experience premature failure - especially in warm or hot water environments.
