Fully Assembled Water Softeners
Let's face it - you've probably never assembled a water softener in your life - and you probably don't really want to. We've assembled thousands. So why would it make any sense for us to ship you a box of parts as most internet retailers do? By expertly assembling your softener and shipping it to you as a 'built' system we save you countless hours of assembly and installation time. By shipping a 'built' system we also help to reduce the chance of damage to any of the components as they're assembled which translates to better system performance and reliability. We've recently made a modification to how our softeners ship - we now fully pack the softening tank with gravel underbed, resin, and riser tube and then cap it. We ship the control valve 'on the side'. When the softener arrives, it takes about 30 seconds to remove the cap and screw on the control valve. We made this change due to the number of softeners that were arriving with damaged control valves.
So, are there any downsides to shipping a softener as a 'built' system? The only downside is that shipping times are slightly higher than shipping a box of parts with a courier such as UPS or FedEx. A 'built' softener is slightly too heavy to ship with a courier, so we use national transportation services. On average, a softener ordered on a Monday, would typically ship out on Tuesday and would be delivered to our U.S. or Canadian customers on the Thursday or Friday. For full visibility of the shipping process, an email with tracking number is automatically emailed for every order.
Please let us know if you have any specific questions about how we ship.
