Ultraviolet Lightsearch for term: Is the range of the electromagnetic spectrum between x-rays and visible light. Ultraviolet (UV) light is broken down further into UV-A, UV-B, and UV-C. UV-C, specifically the 254nm wavelength has germicidal properties and for that reason is used in ultraviolet light water purification systems to kill bacteria and other microorganisms.
