Product Description

The Pentek ECP5-10 is a 5-micron pleated cellulose/polyester sediment filter that is used for removing sediment from water.  The ECP5-10 offers an excellent combination of price and performance.  The pleated design maximizes surface area resulting in high flow rates and very low pressure drop.  The ECP5-10 also offers very good dirt holding capacity at this price point.  The combination of cellulose and polyester gives this filter good rigidity and bacterial resistance versus a cellulose only cartridge.

More about the Pentek ECP5-10 Cartridge:

The Pentek ECP5-10 cartridge is manufactured from a special formulation of resin-impregnated cellulose and polyester fibers.  The unique blend of these two materials provides a higher wet strength than regular cellulose cartridges. It also provides high flow rates and dirt- holding capacity, while maintaining extremely low pressure drop.  The filter media of the ECP5-10 is pleated around a polypropylene core for added strength and the ends are immersed in a thermo-setting vinyl plastisol. Embedding and sealing each end of the pleat block in this fashion fuses the components together forming a unified endcap and gasket.
