Product Description
The Merlin tankless reverse osmosis system is a breakthrough for GE Water & Process Technologies. Years of research have produced a totally new type of Reverse Osmosis system. The Merlin features continuous-flow water production, so a storage tank is no longer required. The unit operates on line pressure, which eliminates the need for an electrical pump in most applications. The patented high-production, low-energy membrane reduces impurities in up to 744 gallons (2,816 liters) of water per day. This "4-Stage" R.O. system includes the following filtration elements:
- Sediment Prefilter - for removal of particulate matter
- Carbon Block Prefilter - for removal of chlorine
- Two TFC Reverse Osmosis (R.O.) membranes - for removal of most chemicals
- Granular Activated Carbon Post-Filter - removal of remaining chemicals
Key Features of the GE Merlin Reverse Osmosis System:
- Uses line pressure only
- Requires no pump, no electricity
- Compact design - fits easily under sink
- Water Quality Association Gold Seal - NSF/ANSI 58 Certified
Reverse Osmosis - sometimes called R.O. - is a process that forces water through a membrane with microscopic pores. Water molecules are small enough to pass through these pores and are collected on the downstream side of the membrane. Larger contaminant molecules are not able to pass through the membrane and are flushed down the drain.
