Product Description
The Res-Up dispenser automatically adds a resin cleaning additive to the brine solution of a water softener. This additive ensures that all iron is removed from the softening bed each time the water softner regenerates. If iron is allowed to remain in the water softening bed it can eventually damage the resin to the point of replacement. Res-Up solution is sold separately from the dispenser.
Res-Up Dispenser Installation
The Res-Up dispenser consists of two main parts - the reservoir that holds the Res-Up solution and the wick that dispenses the solution. The Res-Up dispenser should be installed so that the wick, which extends down from the the hook shaped nozzle, is inserted into the brine well. In most softeners the brine well is the white plastic tube (usually about 4" or 6" in diameter) that houses the brine float aparatus. In some cases the brine well may need slight modification in order to provide an insertion point for the wick.
