The Sanitron S14A is an effective system for protecting a water supply from bacteria, cysts, and many other waterborne organisms. The Sanitron S14A will purify up to 2 gallons per minute making it a good point-of-use system. It can also be used effectively in many other industrial and commercial low-flow applications. The Sanitron S14A features many unique product features and benefits including a removable flanged head that allows the entire UV chamber to be opened in the event that inspection or repair is required. The Sanitron S14A also features a viewing port that allows the user to see if the UV lamp is functioning properly.
Other Features of the Sanitron S14A:
- Easy-Off Retainer Cap: Allows for easy lamp replacements. UV lamp can be changed without removing the quartz sleeve and without depressurizing the UV chamber. No tools are required for UV lamp change.
- Mechanical Wiper Mechanism: Dual-action wiper allows periodic cleaning of the quartz sleeve without interrupting the water flow. Complies with US Public Health Guidelines.
- Drain Plug: Allows in-place drainage of the UV system. Very handy for seasonally used systems.
Santitron S14A Facts:
- All Sanitron S14A systems must be used with a 5 micron prefilter. This prefilter prevents large particles that could harbor bacteria from passing through the UV system. aQuatell recommends a Pentek sediment filter.
- Water quality is important to consider. The peformance of all UV systems including the Sanitron S14A can be impacted by poor water quality.
- The lamp in the Sanitron S14A must be changed every year.
