The Cactus X-12 is a 13.3 gallon per minute residential UV system that features a very high UV dose for maximum protection.  An anti-fouling system allows the operator to clean the quartz sleeve without removing the sleeve or UV lamps.  Threaded flexible stainless steel adapters are included, making installation a snap.

More About the Cactus X-12

The Cactus X-12 is the newest residential product offering from UV Pure.  The Cactus X-12 borrows many features from UV Pure's NSF certified product lines which have been popular for years with engineers and public facility operators alike.

This system features a very high UV dose - 40mJ at end of lamp life and at 85% UV Transmittance to be exact.  This is the same UV dose that must be delivered in public drinking water installations and is the same dose mandated by NSF in order to receive their coveted NSF 55 Class A certification.  The benefit is a very high level of protection from both common and uncommon waterborne pathogens.

WIth a 13.3 U.S. gallon per minute maximum flow rate the Cactus X-12 is perfectly suitable for most large residential applications.  Other higher flow applications that do not require an NSF-Certified UV system are very well suited for the Cactus X-12 also.  These could include industrial or commercial processes.

Is installation concerning you?  The Cactus X-12 comes standard with a set of flexible stainless steel adapters that make installation a breeze.  Simply attach the system to the wall using the included mounting bracket and bend the inlet outlet connectors to meet your plumbing.  Threaded connectors means minimal sweating of copper plumbing making the installation secure and fast.

Lamp changes are easy too.  The Cactus X-12 has a front opening access panel that allows for easy lamp changes.  This access panel also eliminates the need to leave space above or below the UV system to slide lamps/sleeves out.  Simply tilt open the front panel, pop the old lamps out and pop the new lamps in.  While you're at it, do a quick visual inspection of the quartz sleeve.

If the quartz sleeve is fouled, the Cactus X-12 allows for a manual cleaning without having to remove the lamps or the quartz sleeve.  A standard bottle brush can be inserted into the system to allow the user to scrub away any accumulated mineral deposits.
