The UVMAX F4 is a complete ultraviolet light water system that is used to purify the water for very large homes and cottages, and is also used in many industrial/commercial water purification applications. This system may also be used where poor water quality necessitates an over-sized system.
The UVMAX F4 is manufactured by Viqua: A Trojan Technologies Company and is their newest and highest performing disinfection systems to date. It will protect the water supply from contaminants such as e. coli and coliform bactiera, and cysts such as cryptosporidium and giardia.
The UVMAX F4 includes many innovative and useful product improvements. Viqua has increased the diameter on the steel chamber effectively slowing the water flow which gives the UV lamp more time to perform disinfection. A new lamp connector cable makes it impossible to power the lamp without it being inserted properly into the steel chamber. The new power supply used with the UVMAX F4 offers some of the most useful product improvements - LED's on the power supply show that all system components are functioning properly. In the event of a system failure an audible alarm sounds and the power supply indicates the failed component with a red LED. This makes troubleshooting and repair of the UVMAX F4 a breeze.
The UVMAX F4 power supply features a lamp life indicator that counts down the number of days until a lamp replacement is required. If this system is used seasonally, the lamp life indicator remembers where it left off when it's powered down and then starts counting down from that point when it's powered back up - this makes it ideal for seasonal cottages or Summer homes where it might be hard to remember when the lamp was last changed.
The power supply on the UVMAX F4 is capable of controlling an automatic water shut-off valve. This valve is not included in the base price of the system. The UVMAX F4 system also includes a very handy quick reference card that fits into a slot in the back of the power supply. This card explains all of the important aspects of installing and maintaining the UV system.
The UVMAX F4 system includes the steel UV chamber, the lamp, and a power supply. All Trojan residential UV systems feature a one piece lamp/sleeve assembly that makes maintenance on the system very easy - the lamp and sleeve can be removed from the UV chamber without any tools for easy visual inspection and cleaning. A high output UV lamp means that the UVMAX F4 system is much more compact than many others on the market making installation easier.
