We strive to offer the best products at the best prices possible to ensure a satisfied customer every time.
Value & The Internet
The internet has introduced a retail channel the likes of which have not been seen before. Consumers are offered products for purchase at prices that often seem to good to be true. But be warned, on the world wide web, true value has often been replaced by low prices. Real value means getting the most for your money - not necessarily the lowest price possible.
Is it possible to build and sell a water softener for $400? It certainly is. Does that water softener represent the best value to the customer? Probably not. This system will almost certainly use a low grade resin that will need to be replaced in 5 years. It will probably use a very thin walled brine tank that may spring a leak if it's dragged a few inches across the floor. The control valve will most certainly be a calendar clock valve that regenerates on a schedule whether the softener has run out of capacity or not - costing the customer hundreds of dollars in extra salt per year.
Now consider a $650 water softener. Higher quality resin lasts 10 years instead of 5. A metered control valve that only regenerates the softener when required saving an immense amount of salt. Higher quality components that last longer, and require less maintenance. A safety float that protects against flooding of the brine tank. Does the $400 water softener company understand softener salt-efficiency? Although the price is higher, the value is much greater than the cheaper system.

At aQuatell we don't take product decisions lightly. Every product added to our site must deliver maximum value to our customer or it's not worthy of being added. In some cases we choose to list products that are the cheapest possible. This is only the case when we feel the more expensive product offers no greater functionality, usability, durability, or advantage. Sometimes we choose to offer the most expensive product of it's type. We do this when we feel the cheaper product dramatically increases the chance of premature failure or when we feel that it just won't do what it's supposed to do.
More often than not, we choose to offer the middle-of-the-road priced product. These product often reflect very good functionality for a good price. In short, these products offer our customer the greatest chance of success, and satisfaction with their experience. So, while aQuatell may not be able to guarantee the lowest price, we stand firm in our belief that we offer the best value in water purification products on the internet.
Whenever possible, aQuatell offers products that are made in North America. All of our water softeners and UV systems are made in the U.S. or in Canada.
