More About the 10" Standard Sediment Filter Kit

The aQuatell 10" sediment filter kit is designed as a everything-you-need kit for the removal of sediment from water.  This kit is well suited for a number of applications where sediment must be removed from water.  The size of the housing, and the capacity of the filter cartridge make it very well suited for small homes - one bathroom / one kitchen or small cottages/summer homes.  Under normal sediment load conditions this system will provide about 5 gallons per minute under 50 pound per square inch (psi) pressure.  The 5-micron sediment cartridge provided will remove all visible sediment from the water.

Sediment is the particulate matter suspended in water.  All natural water supplies contain some amount of sediment.  Drilled wells typically contain the least amount of sediment.  Dug wells will often contain a moderate amount of sediment, and surface waters such as lakes, rivers, and ponds typically contain very high amounts of sediment.  When high sediment loads are expected, it is advisable to consider a larger filter/cartridge system even if your dwelling is small or uses a relatively small volume of water.
