This hot water filter housing is rated to 200 degrees F and has multiple residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Using a water filter housing with a water filter cartridge is the most common way to purify the water for a whole home or building. This product ships complete with a red-colored water filter housing, filter wrench, and all the mounting hardware required for an easy and straightforward installation. This housing will accommodate virtually all standard diameter (2.5") 10" long filter cartridges.
Common uses for Water Filter Housings
- used with a 5-micron sediment filter to remove suspended solids from well water
- used witha 20-micron sediment filter to remove suspended solids from lake water
- used with an activated carbon filter to improve drinking water taste/odor/color
- used as a pre-filter with an ultraviolet water purifier
- used with an absolute 0.5 or 1-micron cartridge for cyst removal
